WP7 Escort Sturmoviks . La-5 v Friedrich . Ostfront 1942
Soviet La-5 fighter escorting slow moving IL-2 Sturmovik ground attack formation. Must stay close to formation when German Bf-109F Friedrich swoop in for assault... otherwise chasing the Friedrich will leave formation utter unprotected... the Friedrich would literally sit at tailend of Sturmoviks and shoot them down like fish in barrel.
Hence, stay in formation back to blast incoming Friedrich attempting the rear end run. Assume time era should be 1942 ( since there is snow on the ground ), thus be the German winter offensive in Ukraine region towards Stalingrad.
