The 19th-century Cleveland Pools in Bath lay dormant since the 1980s until a community-led effort restored it. Initiated in 2004 to oppose commercial development, the campaign garnered support from Bath and national heritage organizations. Restoration focused on historical accuracy, sustainability, and accessibility, reviving the original pool's design and functionality. New facilities were added with sensitivity to the site's heritage.
