Those are the right pickups. When it first came out, it had EMG 81/60 pickups, what James used for a very long time. Then James got his own signature pickups, then they switched out the pickups on all of his guitars. So, now they are different, but at the time this video was made they were the right ones

Trust me, ESP would love to still be able to make explorers with the traditional shape, but you can thank Gibson for putting a stop to that.

I just got this at guitar center today for a smoking deal! And it's soo kickass! And this video does not display a good sound test. This guitar is so fast and it plays like 2000-3000$ guitar it is well worth the money! Rock on dudes\m/\m/

I prefer the shape of the normal explorer, but god, I think this is a bloody nice looking guitar. I wasn't sure at first, but it's grown on me and I really like it now. I'm not a fan of signature guitars really, but I would consider this one :) Cause it looks and sounds awesome.
