I enjoy seeing what other artists travel with. My goodness those Holbein pencils are gorgeous colours and look lovely and creamy. I recently got a little travel set of luminance colours and see the Holbein would be great additions too. I love how compact your travel set is and has everything you need really.

Enjoy your quality time ❤ I hope you have a wonderful time. I would love to do something like that, but I have a teen daughter, and as much as I need it, I'll have to wait a little bit more to do so ❤❤ please, take your time. I'll save this tutorial for when my chance arrives 😊😊

11:00 ❤ this pencil! Different sizes have different colours in those notches. Mine is 0.3 and the notches are brown, 0.7 is turquoise. It's easy to pick out what you need from a pile of pencils.I paid 10€ for it, and its totally worth it. Thanks again for the recommendation. I will look into the Pentel pencil shaped eraser, it is small and narrow. Just what I need. Thanks again for this art kit tour!

Love your choices! Being in the US, public transport is lacking, so I nearly always have to go by car. WHICH MEANS I always overpack!
On my next trip (maybe to coastal Washington), I'll bring 21 watercolors, a full set of prismacolors (reasonably affordable here, on sale), neocolor 2s. Pencils, eraser, sharpener, regular and fude fountain pen with waterproof ink. Quill brush and a couple smaller brushes.
I'd probably bring the full set of prismacolors only because they are prone to breakage, and the case they're in protects them better.

I love to watch travel sketching kit videos. And listening to you is always a pleasure, you sound so enthusiastic and friendly. For me selecting sketching equipment for a trip is always hard, I would like to take everything. Usually I take one of my (too many) watercolor palettes, 10-12 color pencils and a few micron pens with 0.5 - 2 nib. I have always some pencils with me, I could not go anywhere without them and some paper.
Have a nice trip!

Congratulations on the wonderful milestone!
I hope you are having a relaxing and creative trip this weekend. I've not taken any supplies out anywhere yet, but I'm sure it would be far too many things since where art is concerned apparently I'm a maximalist. In everything else I'm a minimalist. I've given up trying to understand, and just gone with it. Life is too short to care about the little things. (I'm old) Thanks for sharing what you'd bring. 🌻

Thanks for showing this. I love seeing what artists pack in their kits. Your colour selection looks fantastic. I agree with you abiut having a good mechanical pencil. If you like it, you will have it for many years. Have a great vacation!

I always enjoy seeing what others pack for a trip. I like taking other water soluble media like watercolor pencils and Neocolor 2s.

The graphgear 1000 is my go to pencil too. I love that retractable feature, and the push clip makes it easy to clip the pen in my field case! I also have the same pentel click eraser (same color too) and it’s my favourite! Ok, there I was thinking that $16 sgd for the graphgear is expensive… But 25 pounds!! Perks of being in Asia 😬 (I have a couple of rotring pencils though and they are wayyyy more expensive than my graphgear)

Thanks for sharing this! Have a good vacation! I took too many supplies with me this summer when I went to the Rocky Mountains. I will need to make a smaller kit for next trip. Have you tried the Derwent Drawing Pencil set? I see a lot of similar colours to your Holbein pencils. You would love them, but they are very soft. Even more soft than Prismacolor Premiers, so not great for sharp details.
