Yeah, death sworn viktor is definitely a massive downgrade. They removed almost every detail that make him look like... death sworn, the old skin he looks like a scary supervillain, with these dark purple cape and hood, and the spikes around the neck. Now he just look like an alien. I'm not a Viktor main btw, but I understand them

To be fair, I'd be pretty mad if I paid real money for a skin and it was changed so significantly, especially if I perceived that change as being negative.
The whole nature of digital sales where the company can actually say "yeah, well we decided to change what you bought" is a bit of a hard issue address.

especially since they showed there can be multiple timelines/worlds/universe in Arcane, and most skin lines are lorewise from alternative timelines

I hate how they just removed Victor's uniqueness by reworking his passive from him building and upgrading his own special item to generic kill minions and champions for stacks

the thing i hate most is the new voiclines at the very least this small indie company couldave had the same va as arcane
no hate on the va though but the effects on the voice arent chill inducing like arcanes victor the accent isn't noticeable IMO its just a huge downgrade

I kind of feel like his skin betrays his character. The entire point is to evolve to something superior to humanity. Why does he look as gangly and frail and pathetic as he does when he's dying of his terminal disease? It doesn't even look ethereal/beautiful, ordered and designed perfection that he'd be striving towards.
I'm not mad that it's different, I'm mad that it's bad.

What you said used to be true.

But riot being riot, they saw the success of arcane and immediately made it canon. Which means that "old" victor can't exist in the game with arcane victor out there.

Same as lots of character that just lost their lore( camille, sera, renata, etc)

I wish they would have done a traditional viktor skin like they did in the past though, same with skarner. That would have been cool. Specially if they gave them for free for skarner/Viktor mains

Riot made Arcane the canon universe for league. It's a stupid f-ing decision.

His new default skin doesn't even give off that cosmic iridescent entity feel, like in the show; instead he just looks like Howard the Alien

It’s not just that the skin is a downgrade, it’s also that they fundamentally changed everything about the character for no reason.

Old Viktor wanted to save people, but only people who WANTED to be saved. He wouldn’t do anything unless you wanted him to. New Viktor: “Choice is false.” They’ve also removed all of his science, which was the entire basis of the old champ, and replaced it with him being another mage.

He’s basically just Malzahar now, but with the old kit. They didn’t even change the W despite it not being a real ability, which was like the only thing Viktor mains wanted out of the VGU.

Ingame (new) victor has none of the rizz arcane victor has. They haven't even got the arcane VA ingame. They could have atleast left a machine herald skin nodding back to the OG design. Its further proof that the worst thing about league is the game.
