Solution

H of cylinder = 34-(7+7)
= 20

Sa of tank = surface area of cylinder + 2* SA of hemisphere

=2πrh+2*2πr²
= 2πr + 4πr²
=2πr(2*r+h). {Just take common}
=2*22/7*7(2*7+20)
=2*22*34
=1496 cm^2

Sa of tank in contact of water
As we know tank is filled half then ½*1496
=748 cm ^2
