Thanks to your channel and this video, we tried this amazing restaurant for the first time this evening after coming to Madeira for many years and never discovering it. It was INCREDIBLE and yes, we did have the french toast and salted caramel ice cream dessert which was as amazing as you described. The service was exceptional as well as the dining experience. Always learning something about the food in Madeira and I have just returned from a month in Machico and Funchal. I've passed Theo's many times but never eaten there.
Next time, maybe, on my 22 visit.

Great video Joe. Omg that octopus dish looked amazing!! The rice was giving risotto vibes and that octopus looked perfectly cooked. I’m always kinda hesitant about ordering octopus because if it’s cooked wrong it’s so disappointing.

Try the avocado 🥑 egg 🍳 sandwich on sourdough 🍞 bread @ Arbor Food & Coffee ☕️. Absolutely Delicious 🤤 also it doesn’t hurt being in a garden surrounded by birds 🐦 singing 🎶.

By the way, as another Historical appointment, "Peixinhos da horta" is what gave rise to Tempura. Tempura is a derived name from tempero, that means seasoning. It was introduced in Japan probably in the Portuguese founded city of Nagasaki.

Looks delicious but this is an upmarket pricey restaurant. Price for 2 people to share a classic meal is €96!
