It's nice watching Tommy Shelby teaching us how to get rich, legally.

I read through this tweet thread once long ago, promptly forgot about it. This was very useful to come back to and take time to really let the key information sink in.

I think a lot of people miss the part in all of this that involves lots of hard work over a long period of time. Many will watch this and think this is a quick fix. All these techniques need to be combined with a great work ethic and consistency.

"Productized yourself". Two powerful words Andrew said to wrap up his explanation.

Another way to look at it is
Leverage-Content creation
Specific knowledge-Your passion
Accountability-Branding

I’ve found myself skeptical about chasing trends for these exact reasons, just not expressed so clearly. Very cool video Andrew!

PSA FOR ANYONE WATCHING. There exists a podcast version of all of these lessons spoken by Naval himself, its about 3.5 Hours long and I have listened to it 4 times so far. It is called "How to get rich without getting lucky."

It was without a doubt the most deep and comprehensive analysis of what it takes to be rich I have ever come across, it absolutely destroys the garbage put out by all these online "Gurus." For me the most important lesson from it for my life was learning to optimize for time instead of optimizing for costs.

And If you've already listened to it, what did you guys take away from it?

Excellent lesson. Media and Code, two of the leading forms of leverage in today's society. Leverage is what gets you out of the ordinary Income of a 9 to 5 and makes scale possible.

I think the unique most and biggest problem for 99.9999% of people is to know what specific thing is valuable, but not popular yet. Because if it's not popular, we think it's not valuable. And when it's popular, then everybody does it and it's not valuable.

That leverage point of view is so simple, yet mind blowing!

You're able to explain this really well. I've read the original tweetstorm multiple times a long time ago and it makes so much more sense now

On doing what you love: you have to do something the market is demanding, you don't want to be the next person to open of a coffee shop because "that's your passion". However, you can love the process of building something within a niche - and then make the specific service/product something the market wants, rather than what you most want to do.

As a small youtuber that no one cares about, I took your lessons about dopamine addiction to be able to create consistent, high quality content 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
