Some may disagree but, in my opinion, one of the best drives in the United States is along the Peak To Peak Highway just outside of Denver, Colorado.
The roads are nice and wide and the views are absolutely spectacular! If you love mountain views then I highly recommend making this drive.
The official name is the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway and it lives up to its name. It runs for 55 miles, 89 km, through the mountains from Estes Park in the north to Black Hawk in the south. Along the way you can stop in at scenic lookouts and parks to take in the mountain views or visit small towns for some Colorado hospitality.
