Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 14' - First 48h Impressions

I've been using the Ideapad 5 Pro 14 with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800u for a few days now. It's been pretty great and I wanted to share my impression after this time. Nice one Jonas! The i5 variant is available here in india with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd. (840 euros). 2.2k monitor and xe graphics. Im still trying to source the same model as you have but if after a month i cant find any, i might settle for the intel model.

Hey Jonas, congrats on Davinci working finally. The question is, did davinci catchup to the amds, or is there something special in the 5800u that makes it work with this software. It will be great to test the speed of the card reader to know if they cheaped out with a slow reader and if we still need to buy an external usb 3.0 card reader for better speeds

please go over the wifi card of your unit. i have the 16" version with the realtek card, it throttles down to 30Mbps after awhile unlike my yoga slim 7i pro with an intel wifi card.

I'm pretty disappointed in the battery life of this laptop. I thought that the latest batch of Ryzen processors were supposed to be super efficient. Is there just a really small battery in the chassis?

Hope you will calibrate the monitor and share the icm file with us. It seems this 2.2k monitor can be found rarely (model generally comes with 2.8k). I would appreciate to see fully calibrated this screen

Hej. I was going to ask, do you think the r5 version with 8gb ram is a good buy or should just skip and get the r7 with 16gb? Would be good if they offered the r5 with 16gb ram as I don't think I need the power of the r7.
