Nancy Lin, MD, director, and Sarah Sammons, MD, associate director of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Program at Dana-Farber, discuss their approach to caring for patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC), which is a stage of breast cancer that has moved to other parts of the body.

While MBC is not currently curable, many patients with MBC are able to manage their disease and live well for many years. Treatment for MBC is personalized to each patient depending on the type of breast cancer they have. In addition to providing cutting-edge treatment, Dana-Farber offers many opportunities for patients with MBC to participate in research, including enrolling on clinical trials.
