If you’re new to Geek Psychology, my name is Matt Sherman. People call me Sherman. I'm a personality type expert, life coach, hypnotist, author, podcaster, and course creator. I help mainly INFPs embrace their unique strengths and navigate life's challenges. Through practical strategies and deep insights, I aim to help people like you live a more fulfilling and authentic live where you can wake up and feel good about who you are and your impact on the world. 💪 One invaluable lesson I've learned is that "I", "me", and "myself" are different aspects of our being. 😯 When we say things like, "I hate myself" or "I can't trust myself", we're disrespecting and mistreating a part of ourselves. 💔 By treating ourselves better, encouraging growth, and providing the skills and beliefs needed, we can thrive and feel whole, healthy, and happy. 😃 Be mindful of your language and metaphors - they matter! 🌟 All the best on your self-improvement journey! 🌈

Interesting perspective. I wouldn't treat any person on earth as badly as I treat my SELF.

I realized recently that when ever I speak negatively about myself, it's usually in third person. I tend to say 'some dummy messed this up' knowing full well it was me. But in the end I feel extremely positive about myself. And I love myself dearly. In the end seeing my negative things in third person means yeah, I mess up too. But it's okay. Because it was a mistake and next time we will do better. But I laugh at my issues instead of dwell on them. ❤

It took a lot of self affirmations and forgiveness to get there for me. When your inner dialogue moves from self critical to understanding and extending grace to yourself it reflects on the outside like more confidence, assertiveness and intentionality. This is not easy especially for us INFPs but when you get there, you'll be glad you put in the work. ❤️

Self is the whole. Me is subjective, and I is objective
