I'm black and this made me proud! It's nice seeing South Asian representation.

Was I the only one who wished Ben to see Devi in her cultural attire?

That sari is 🔥 🔥 i’m glad her skin tone isn’t as light for representation

As a first generation Tamil-American I can say I’ve never seen my culture represented in such an accurate, respectful way. As a kid, I never saw anyone that looked like me on TV - I never thought I’d see the day that something like this would be put out❤️

I love Maitreyi, she is great representation of a minority young women. She isn't a unrealistically skinny fair skin girl. She is absolutely beautiful and they chose someone who was perfect for the part unlike some shows who want to portray minorities but choose someone who isn't even that ethnicity or race

When they mentioned the aunties, I relate to that because the aunties in the African community like to show off and gossip. They try to 1 up. It’s annoying

this was exactly how i felt as a child going to ganesh puja. My mom would make me bring my textbooks and have them blessed by a priest every year. They captured the feeling so well. This is the most i have ever related to a character.

As a part of Indian Hindu diaspora, i have genuinely experienced that Hinduism indeed makes us inherently confident and gives us Hindus, a wider inclusive as well as personalized view of divinity.

Absolutely loved the show! Finally they showed more in to the south Asian culture Wich is absolutely beautiful ❤️ I grew up catholic ( I’m Mexican) but later on realized that it didn’t resonate with me and my beliefs, for years I have been studying more about Hinduism and it’s something that really gets to me, would love to celebrate Ganesh Puja, such a beautiful culture!🥰 Definitely need more shows like these!!
