The visuals often haven't got much to do with the topic under discussion.

Leibniz attempt at using mathematics to reconcile differences reminds me of Ramon Lull a 13th century mathematician, polymath, philosopher, logician, writer and mystic from the Kingdom of Majorca who also was obsessed with reconciling matters of faith between the Catholic church and Islam. His reasoning being that once they saw the answers to all the questions the Muslims would have no option but to renounce their faith and convert to Catholicism. Once he had perfected his 'system' he travelled to Morocco to convert the souls there and was stoned to death. Leibniz work on Binary has led to him being called 'the father of binary' although the history of its use goes back into antiquity. In fact he found it easier to use binary arithmetic than logarithmic tables which were used to do computations (until he invented the adding machine).

I'm looking forward to a piece about von Neumann and/or Norbert Wiener. I thank you for sharing.

The map at 0:07 is hilarious! Stettin (in Eastern-Pomerania) is written "Szczecin", Breslau (in Lower-Silesia) reads as "Wroclaw", BUT Poznan (in the Kingdom of Poland) is spelled "Posen" :D
I hope this wasn't taken from a textbook for history.

Leibniz: Quote / IF YOU WANT TO DISCOVER HISTORY BC AND THE SCIENCE, YOU SHOULD LEARN THE ALBANIAN LANGUAGE.
Leibniz : Zitat / WENN SIE DIE GESCHICHTE V.CHR UN DIE DAMALIGEN WISSENSCHAFTEN ENDECKEN MÖCHTEN, SOLLTEN SIE DIE ALBANISCHE SPRACHE LERNERN.
