Interesting that in the oldest traditions of the Slavic people, the year is also in two... the Season of Fire (Spring and Summer) and the Season of Night (Autumn and Winter)

Your dialect is precious... This is the second of your videos I have watched. You seem to be well informed and I enjoy your lessons. But the tiny little thing that catches me off guard is the pronunciation of some of your words. If I am not mistaken, you have a Connacht inflection to your voice? The most distinct difference I noticed between your dialect and my southern dialect is in the word, "Beltaine." You seem to pronounce the ending vowel... more of a bel-ta-nah. My dialect seems to gloss over that last vowel, into more of a bel-tain.

My upbringing was cast between the USA east coast - a mix of central New York state and southeast Florida - and Ashford, Ireland. Although far from fluent, my Gaeilge was learned, while in Ashford. However, some of my individual southern dialect has been influenced, to a minor degree by my time also spent in Dun Laoghaire and in a small section of Syracuse, NY, known as, "Tipperary Hill." Take a wild guess which dialect they most commonly use (the few who actually spoke it, that is.) For this reason, many of the central and northern dialects do occasionally catch me off guard.
