How to bend large branch on bonsai with raffia and hollow out method - advanced tech - 180deg bend

I wanted to try and keep this branch rather than cut it off but it had to be bent from where it was currently, in the front, and moved to the back of the tree. This would need 180deg bend.
The branch also had deadwood at its base which meant I could not just wire it and bend it. I would have to hollow out the deadwood and raffia and then bend the branch. I hope this works as the new position looks good.

Hi Dave I did this to an old black pine myself had 100% success with it best thing I did to the tree looks amazing now I think as bonsai artists we kind of see where we need to be with out touching the tree itself and it’s the big tough decisions we make that makes the tree look amazing I have been doing bonsai now for 25 years and every day you learn something new my trees are like my kids and The thought of hurting one is a big decision that we don’t take lightly big thank you from England for you uploads 👍
