Control your Golf Swing by Releasing the Club LATE on the Arc

A lot fo us are releasing the golf club way too soon which introduces tension in the upper extremities as they have to make up for the deficit of force elsewhere in the body. Here Michael shows us how it's done with a few drills and a shift of focus on how he's interacting with the golf club, the ground and the main thing; the golf shot.

Every time I watch one of your videos I learn something. I'm amazed at how you teach in such a way that all of your students learn. Cheers.

Love this. Now understand the difference between flail and flip.

Could you please do a video on finding the optimum grip?

I have found in my own swing and others I've helped that the early release is often the byproduct of an incomplete turn in the backswing (body and arm structure) so the tendency is to feel like you have to rush back to the ball to generate power. This is REALLY a great message/instruction as per usual Zen Team!

Another fab transformation Markus and Team. Michael is set for a dramatic drop in his handicap.

Amazing!
That's the biggest improvement I've seen on any one Zen video, and I've watched just about all of them.

Great stuff Marcus! As someone once said, "By the time you change direction the swing is over". No time to think about a multiplicity of positions or mini moves. The biggest improvement in my forty-year-old swing came when I started to focus on intended ball flight and then, critically, achieving the club 'swish' noise AFTER the ball. It's a great single swing thought for the course too.

Really brilliant stuff…. Always interesting that to learn you need to give up some control to gain control and relearn to be better

Nice video. Beautiful effortless swing. Mine still feels and looks very labored. Working on it...

This is the golf channel to watch on YouTube. These guys should be crying their eyes out at the end, men don't do vulnerability 🤣

Well done Michael looked great at the end

How would this apply to driver? Just create an air divot behind the ball and catch the ball on the upswing?

I’ve learned from this channel the 10000 hour talent code is a myth ... it’s all about understanding the actual task ... and once you understand it the talent comes instantly... each Zen video is hardcore evidence and proves it!

The high/low draw thing confuses me a bit. If you release the toe you'd be decreasing loft - low draw. The high draw just seems counter intuitive to this kind of approach to generating shape - face closed to path but maintaining loft = high draw?

Every visit with Marcus is like Xmas Day for that player.
