Posthumous forgiveness gave me a better understanding of the power dynamic between me and my father. It’s a song I can relate to most because it characterizes something that happened in my life that has affected me the most. That’s why I live tame impala. The slow rush album for me is kinda like a chapter in my life. Current I went through a major break up both in family relationships and friends. The slow rush is the real life actualization of me coming to terms with my past. Not to worry about the past and how time is passing to quickly at times and in others too slowly. For me the slow rush has taught me to be more in the moment everyday. Not to be lost in yesterday and I find myself becoming more and more aware of that. Since the release I’ve actually never been happier in my life after so many rough times and moments. I forever love you Kevin.

found his music back in high school, right before currents came out. he will forever be my favorite artist. his musical talent is so fucking admirable, every song he creates is art — portraying a different aesthetic, different storyline, different feeling.

he’s fucking brilliant. i’d love to meet him one day, i hope so.

"Wanna play you all my songs, hear your voice sing along"
Don't worry, Kevin. I'm pretty sure your father loves and sings all of your songs from heaven. Thank you for sharing ❤

I have had Innerspeaker on repeat in my car, I still use CDs 💿 so yeah. I feel as though Innerspeaker and Lonerism are much more psychedelic in nature and I’m all for it. The album art for Innerspeaker was taken about an hour from where I live in the mountains of North Carolina ✌️
Kevin and his circle of help where on a whole other level of transcendent psych music, Dave Friddmann (Flaming Lips and MGMT producer amongst many others) def influenced that and pieced all of it together.

Ngl this one of my least favorite tracks, skipped it every time. Then I found the lyrics, and listened, and understood the flow of the track. It’s absolute genius. And I had a great father. This track inspires me to be the best father I can be.

Idk i like it but i really enjoyed inner speaker and lonerism! I like the rock psychedelic feel with the guitars and base 10/10 . But slow rush still a solid album with amazing production 💯
