I caught his audition for Queen Extravaganza years ago.. really gets your attention. This has been my favorite song since hearing it as part of the Highlander movie origiinally .. years after it was in theaters. I heard Marc perform this as part of QE for the first time and choked up pretty bad. It was like hearing Freddie sing it live. Not having been a fan, you still get used to the voice and the way it was originally performed. Took a big talent to create it and a similarly big talent to do it justice today. Vocally I think Martel and Mercury are two of a kind. Cheers.

Queen actually hired Marc twice, first to lead their own cover band Queen Extravaganza managed by Roger Taylor and Brian May, and then again as R Gray mentioned below to provide vocals for the movie.

Hello Sabina,
I am 53 years old and since I was 10 years old Queen and Freddy Mercury have accompanied me. I miss Freddy very much, and I listened to many cover versions and was mostly horrified. I didn't know Marc Martel at all, but this boy has the absolute stuff and a fantastic voice to give some comfort to the fan base of Queen and Freddy. Freddy would be very proud of him. Will definitely keep an eye on Marc and hope that there is still a lot to come.
