tip to people who want to use merc. he is my fave so i know a lot about him. he is an op offensive. give him a little bit of health and always come with a mage or a hunter. giving him a lot of strenth and speed is such a deadly combo. he is a tower killer. if you use great sprint and maximum velocity, you will have the ultimate tower/player killer (especially mages and hunter because you can run around their attacks) his main flaw is against a guardian with a lot of health because it takes too long to kill them and that may cause you a life unlike other class you can kill them with perfect combo. i got more if you want (sorry for the bad english)

Mercury's Greek name is Hermes, who is brother to Apollo. Since in Smite Apollo uses his Greek name they've kept it for this reveal.

They are using mythology to the fullest, not just the obvious parts, but they need a consistent label to not confuse those fans less knowledgable about the true legends and myths.
I appreciate your thoughts, but remember that the majority of fans won't know the difference.

Some Roman Gods actually had their Greek names, sometimes with alternate spelling. Like Heracles (Greek) and Hercules (Roman/Modern Western Societies).
