I believe it is always keep 3 points of contact, not 4. If you are required to keep 4 points of contact, how can you move?

Why do you drive with forks backwards?

I’ve always been told to drive forklifts with forks forward; unless you are carrying a load that blocks your visibility or you are driving down an incline.

Class five operator. At the lumberyard where I’m working we start the training by saying “this is what you’re supposed to do”. We end it by saying “now go unload that truck and try not to kill anybody”.

You got on the forklift the wrong way you should never get on the side where the levers are, also the way you have parked you hoist the forks need to be tip down touching the floor.

You failed the test as soon as the video began. Fork tips on the floor whenever its parked.

Simon says ? I am OSHA certifued forklift operator on sit down / stand up ! 1 the forks were not on the ground like they should be ! 2 you mounted incorrectly on the wrong side of forklift ! You never mentioned make sure horn is working & no leaks on hoses ? Bad tires? You instruct the driver what pallet you want him to pick up & move / transport & put pallet in another safe location ! As the instructor you will be able to see or judge the new driver not student? If he has experience or not ? Very simple but you obviously have no clue on Forklift certification class ? How many inches can you drive with your forks up without a load ? If your load is too big or blocking your vision what do you do ? Wrong person doing the video!!!!

how did the instructer himself fail his own when not on the forklift those forks better be on the ground no excuses!
