An Norfolk Southern train of tank cars passes by the Cheswick Generating Station in Springdale, PA which was shut down April 1, 2022. Environmentalists, liberals, etc. put enough regulations on the Texas based parent company GenOn that the company could not afford all of the hundreds of millions of dollars it would require to meet the regulations, so it was decided to shut the plant down.

Of course, we have seen what the liberals have done to oil production in this country, so, to see a train with petroleum tank cars passing by another victim of liberals, soy boys, environmentalists, etc. it makes for an interesting subject.

Cheswick Generating station was in operation for just over 50 years. The ripple effect not only impacts the 50 people displaced by the closure, but also the coal miners, truckers, towboat operators, welders, electricians, pipe fitters, etc. The tax base has also shifted the load now to other businesses and residents. Comically though, the new parent company which is based out of KY plans to use the property to store EV batteries which are LOADED with toxins and heavy metals which can leak into the soil and contaminate soil, the water source as well as the river. The liberals picked their poison and now they get to drink it!
