Bonds Puhols Brett had seasons with 1-1 rate HRs to SOs,
not a single player today has even a 2 SO to every HR rate
JDiMaggio had a career rate of 1-1, Berra had 5 season with more HRs than SOs
and Joe Sewell had a season with almost 4 HRs for every whiff....

last couple season we've had 160+ players who whiffed 100+ times... 
in 1954 only 1 player whiffed 100+ times (Mantle)
a single modern player plays 'Pepper' before game, and all swing from the heals on every pitch! lame-kine
Im so fauken old I can remember when it was actually embarrassing to whiff in a game,  
let alone whiffing 4X a game weekly like Trout Ohtani Judge Harper etc.
