I was always oblivious to who JDS is. Maybe because I am a new MMA fan and paid more attention to other fighters in other weight classes. But, throughout the interviews and UFC 211 Embedded series, I have developed a deep respect and love for him and Stipe. My heart broke when I saw him lose today. The same would've happened if Stipe Miocic would've lost. After all of this, I look upto both of these guys due to their show of humility and I feel glad to have come to known of them. Thank you Stipe and Thank you JDS.

Inside the octagon, Stipe Miocic has done much more in his last 4 fights than Conor has since beating Aldo 1.5 years ago. Conor lost to the #8 ranked guy on 10 days notice (Nate Diaz). He then fought him again, and went through a 5 round war, barely beating him. He then skips over the top contenders at lightweight (Tony/Khabib) to starch Eddie Alvarez (arguably a short term champion who is not a top 3 lightweight). In the meantime, Stipe has knocked out the four best guys in his division, all in the first round, taking almost no damage in the process. A world class fighter.
