Back in the Day We also felt like You literally could Summon Demons from a Portal in Your Neck.

I get where he's coming from. Like when Slipknot would hide their faces in pictures without their masks. Metalheads were so excited when they saw a Slipknot member unmasked. Lol those were the days.

Dude when I was 15. My favorite bands in the world were slipknot, mudvayne and especially cradle of filth. One day the song the somatic defilement came on. I literally thought Phil had to be a 6 foot tall bald murderer. After that whitechaple became my favorite band. 32 now, and they still are. Phil is right. It was fun.

You know what’s even crazier…28 years ago, before Internet was a thing, I heard that exact same rumor about Manson 😂

I remember when my mom first introduced Korn to me and l was like: "what the fuck are you listening to when l'm in school?" She was like: "you don't like it, or what?" (I was 12 btw) And l said: "yes, l hate this type of extreme metal, why don't you listen to something normal?!"
And look at me now, l love Korn and l'm even listening to some 8 string death metal typa shit.

I feel you Philly. Once you lose that childish naivity and sense of mystery and excitement you can't go back.

That's why it cracks me up when people call bands posers. For example, Ghost, or anyone who Chris Barnes doesn't like.

Imagen having that culture of vile terror and shock of 80s-00s rock and metal scene in today's culture? Every single band would be canceled. And that's exactly what also drew us too them, be that black and death metal murder lyrics (and real shit happened), horror themed rock, Marilyn Manson (no need say more) or the sex and drugs of GnR and motley crue. Because good art trigger feelings and thoughts, and the best art that become bigger then life has mystery to it.
