I don't get how a lot of this section is so *cynical and wimpy.* I don't care if this looks generic - I'm looking forward to it anyways since it's the Crowbar Collective.

I loved Black Mesa and this team went to hell and back getting that game out the door. I really want them to do well with this game. That said, there's something wrong with this trailer that's hard to pin down. Some of the lighting choices- this violent purple clashing with the green in the helicopter. Some of the outfit choices where you have two all-black clad character and then neon orange and red and black lumberjack print. The guy in the explosion with the bunny suit. It just has some visual inconsistency that makes the game look almost... off brand. Like an asset flip, or just Fortnite. Even though it is anything but. I really want to see how the game plays in an extended way so I can shake off some of this, but I inherently hate most roguelikes and rogue-lites because A. lots of indies are chasing that genre right now and B. it's a gameplay formula that generally pisses me off instead of sucking me in.

I do wish the team luck and success, but I'm not sure if this is going to be a day 1 buy for me, and it really hurts to say and think that after how long I've lurked their forums.
