It was a night that will never be forgotten. Three major storms in one night, all while we sat in our RV in the midst of falling trees and and heavy rains. We are very thankful that no one was hurt. The scariest night of our lives.

When RV camping/hiking always take a weapon to defend yourself against all types of predators. Any gun type is good at least an 8" blade survivor knife. I carry a modified 5-foot walking staff that I snap my knife on to have a ready spare. I also carry some M80 firecrackers(to scare off unwanted intruders) and mace (for bears). It is a good idea to have a motion sensor LED garden light and a loud horn too even a 900-mile laser pointer can be used defensively blinding the eyes of monsters and signaling. If you hear weird noise outside light a M80 throw it out the window after the loud bang thing quiet down. If not shout out "I have a gun and if I have to come out you will pay dearly."

Wow. That was very unnerving! I’m glad you guys are okay... that’s just a reminder, owning an RV isn’t just about having the right tow vehicle and equipment. Your composure is admirable. You’re cool as a cucumber, great video and hopefully others will pick up on the survival skills that you have whenever you go “outside.”

My family went thru the Lancaster TX tornado in 1994, my youngest son was 16 months old, other son was 5 yo, and daughter was 7. Even the baby remembered that night. I was so scared that I put him in his car seat, in the bath tub with the other 2 kids, then one of their twin size mattresses. We could see debris flying thru the green sky the last time I went to go look. It was an F-5 that obliterated over 400 homes, somehow missing ours. I still get stressed when the tv is alerting, and God forbid if the tornado sirens go off...I’m new to your channel and when I heard a child there towards the front of the video I got that knot in my stomach! God bless, so relieved you all got thru that safely m.

We just had a category one hurricane hit where we are on the Gulf coast of Texas. Definitely not something I ever want to repeat.

My son and I go storm chasing during the summer, we spend about 2 months on the road around the east side of Texas and above in our customized 4x4 van. Ive been lucky enough to follow common sense and never get close to any real danger, we went up north a little farther than we usually go. We were woke up one night, our tornado alarm was going off, I turned on our equipment, there were 3 possible tornados. I watched the direction, we drove south, everything was pitch black, I had my off road lights on. I had some really good footage to send back to my local TV station. My son told the story about the big one when he went back to school, one of his teachers had to call me because she didnt believe the story. I took footage to her class, the kids watched it, my son is now considered a badass amongst his friends. I took him out of school 3 weeks later due to the Corona virus, he misses school he has his own scrap book of pictures he took and his Hero camera he puts on his chest. I cant wait till next summer. he will be 8 and even more curious. I have better equipment for next year, it will be awesome.

Wow, my granddaughter and I lived in an RV for a few months back a few years ago and when the weather was bad we were both scared to death. One time we got a tornado very close to us and it was so so scary!!! I can relate. Glad y'all are ok. Safe travels!!! 😍

When a power line touches the ground it shorts out causing the power to be shut off by blowing the fuse...not danger from shock...but use cautions
