Maybe contrast is usefull for geting that "fight mood" in to the heavy lifting. My experience is that many athleties just move weight without the intention of doing it fast.

2 video ideas if you haven’t already:

1. Expand on why you are a proponent of ego lifting
2. Elaborate on why nutrition and sleep are common scapegoats.

Two hot takes that are probably good for the algorithm. I also happen to disagree with you and would love to hear your takes.

i think of the “priming” exercise has good enough set quality to be stimulating in itself, then using it in place of arguably less stimulating warm up jumps is good. not sure if that would even qualify as contrast training though

Hey Will, unrelated question: don't know if you're familiar with Brian Alsruhe, but what do you think of his idea of "giant sets"? They're basically sets where you do an antagonist movement, the main movement of the day, a core movement, something to keep the heart rate up and then rest for about 90 seconds. An example would be a row, followed by a bench press, situps and then some burpees.

Do you have experience with flywheel training? The science looks great for strength, power and hypertrophy.
