The first lady was so lovely. Her encounter with the lady in the abusive relationship, that way she stood up for her, the way she still thinks about her and the visible sadness on her face 🥺.

I still think of this elderly lady who stared right at me during the entire train ride while I was backpacking solo through Europe. I was in Italy & I am a black girl, the only one in that particular train carriage... I´m not sure why, but I felt that she was going to tell me something derogatory. Instead, we got off the same station & she told me in English that she couldn´t stop staring because ´You are very beautiful´.

I love how close up they zoom in because it truly makes me realize how everyone is so naturally beautiful in their own ways and honestly just makes me appreciate natural beauty more. Every person that I’ve ever seen on one of these videos was gorgeous, honestly. I really like how they do that :)

“Once I do meet a stranger, they become a friend” this video has ranked high as one of your best. So wholesome! Thank you Thoraya

One time I was taking a walk on a nearby old country road and I was sad. and this young guy who was on a motorcycle was driving by and he stuck his hand out to high five me- I missed the first time and then he turned around and we tried again and we got the high five. He waved and then drove away and I never saw him again. It was so nice because I needed that little encouragement and he was the one that gave it to me.

I am that "stranger." Rode the train to work for 5 yrs and one morning a college kid jumped on obviously he had been running late, the conductor came around for his ticket which he didn't have so he was cited. He cried his eyes out, it broke my heart so I told him I'd pay his ticket. When the due date arrived, we both went to the courthouse and I paid the $50. The following week he brought his mother onto the train and she thanked me over and over along with a dozen homemade tamales. 💓 From that day forward I continue to do "random acts of kindness ." Love & Light to All.

I left this on the last video you did but I wanna share again: A stranger changed my life once, I'll never forget them. Here's my story. Content warning for self injury scars.

When I was 14 I went to Warped Tour for the first time. I didn't really have any friends so I went alone, hoping to meet up with others. It was a very hot day so I wore a tanktop and shorts which meant my scars out for everyone to see. I had a bit of anxiety but hoped nobody would mind. My parent walked me to the line and dropped me off at the end behind a group of girls. They turned around and we began chatting about music. Then one of them did something that changed my life. She told me "you're so strong for making it through that, I'm so proud of you" then hugged me. Thanks to her, as a 22 year old adult I rarely feel the need to hide my scars. I'm able to be open and proud about the battle I overcame and I will never stop being grateful for that.

I always remember the quote "if you see something beautiful in someone, tell them", ive been practicing this one. Whenever I see someone, i do or dont know i try to tell them how beautiful i think they look or something like that. Kindness always wins and as long as we got that, we are full. So, this video really made me feel full in some way. I love seeing how there are still people in this world that are good and who will appreciate you and i guess life is worth living. :)

In southwest Colorado, I picked up a hitchhiker going to California. He said he was from Missouri. It was late and nothing was open, so we slept the night in my car. The next morning, I gave him $20 and took him to a place outside of Creede and dropped him off. Years later, I turned on the Mike Douglas show. There he was talking about his latest movie. He then talked about and thanked the man, me, who gave him the $20 in Colorado.

03:25 the Irish will definitely strike up a conversation if they like what you're asking them! I went to Ireland three times and every single time, I had so many interesting and fun conversations with the locals. One time I asked this guy the way to some pub I wanted to visit. He was at work at a restaurant on his cigarette break and I felt bad for bothering him, but he jumped up, ran inside, came back with a piece of paper and a pen and drew an entire map for me! The Irish are the best people I've ever come across.

Great video! I have always been shy but, about 20 years ago, I went to a bar alone and there was this incredible band playing. The members of the band looked like someone tried to put members of different bands together for one night but it worked perfectly. So, I found myself a corner of the room and started dancing by myself. Soon, I had my eyes closed and I felt someone touching my hands. I opened my eyes and this beautiful girl was standing in front of me. She said something like this: I just wanted to tell you that it's beautiful that you're doing your own thing. Then, she walked away and disappeared into the crowd. I kept dancing and when the band took a break, I looked for her but she was nowhere to be found. It was the beginning of a long, slow transformation for me.

I was on a bus with my 6 month old son. I was making him giggle and talking to him. A man as he was getting off the bus said he was watching me and it was great to see a young mother (I was 17 at the time) actually interacting with her child rather than being sat on her phone and that he could tell I was a good mother. It always stuck in my mind and I'm 31 years old. It was heart warming to get such a lovely compliment from a stranger. It made me think yes you're right I am doing a great job for my situation.

A stranger I still remember is a man I met at a coffee shop that hired specifically people with disabilities. I think he was one of the managers and he had a speech impediment so I couldnt understand everything but the day I went to this coffee shop, I was extremely overstimulated and depressed. He saw me and without knowing me he said "HI FRIEND!!" He gave me the biggest hug and pulled me over to the bar where the other customers and employees were. I ended up meeting a lot of people that day and there are a lot of strangers I will remember but the man who pulled me over and called me friend without even knowing my name is who I will remember the most.

I was on train seated next to a family. They had a 5 year old daughter and she was just staring at me. I started talking to her, she told all about what her parents had planned for her and her siblings that Saturday. When the train got to their stop and they were about to get off, she ran into my arms, hugged me and said, “I will miss you” with a sweet voice and teary eyes. I cried all the way to my stop because I really needed that hug and she had no idea. I will never forget her.

A few weeks ago I went to a shopping mall with my friends. My friends found some clothes to try on so I waited outside, the changing rooms were in a very small and cramped hallway that could barely fit one person, but I waited outside in case my friends needed me. A women in her mid to late twenties walked out of the last changing room to show her boyfriend her outfit. I noticed her boyfriend give her a basic smile and said “it’s good” in a rushed voice. I saw this affect the woman’s confidence a lot so I stared at the women until I caught her attention. When I did I gave her a big thumbs up and big smile, then whispered “you look gorgeous”, her face went red she gave me a little twirl and thanked me.

The day I found out I had stage 3 breast cancer, I went to Walmart after I left the doctor's office. I was in a bit of shock and as I was walking down the aisle, this black woman who emanated power walked by without stopping, slowing down, or looking me in the eye and said, "Hello, angel."

I KNEW at that moment I was going to survive.

That was fifteen years ago.

I'll never forget the time I was in Amsterdam and went to a show by myself, to see my (favorite band at the time) live, for the first time. I was so excited and the place was HUGE. I couldn't see very well because I am very short (and the Dutch are quite tall lol), so after a while I left the main hall to grab a drink. I came back in to watch the concert again, when this woman and 2 men approached me. They told me they loved my tattoos and asked to take photos with me. I shyly (and a little embarrassed) agreed, and they were so kind. The girl said "you are hanging out with us now" because they didn't want me to be alone anymore lol 🥺 BUT - it gets better! As the four of us are all watching the show, the girl is on her boyfriend's shoulders for a few songs, and we're all just rocking out. Then, her boyfriend puts her down, they exchange words in Dutch, and the girl then turns to me...she says "You go UP!" and before I could process what she meant/protest, the two men are LIFTING me onto each of their shoulders!! I could see EVERYTHING and I felt 10 feet tall hahaha! THEN, the men start walking closer toward the stage, and as people turned around to see what was happening, they all simultaneously parted like the red sea, so that we could get closer. It was the most magically insane moment I can remember, and I had the biggest grin on my face for hours. It was a show I'll never forget and I'll remember those sweet Dutch souls forever. 😂🥰

One stranger I will always remember is a wonderful lady at the supermarket. She was in front of me ready to checkout and told me that the brand of water she had was on sale than the one that I had. I thanked her and she immediately started crying and said, my son just passed away and I’m taking the cases of water to my sons funeral. She asked me if I can give her a hug, and right before I knew what she was going to say I gave her the biggest hug and I said I was sorry for her loss. She told me that she really needed a hug and was happy to have met me. What a sweet soul. I am so happy I was at the right place and at the right time to be there for her. I will always remember her ♥️I hope she is well and I think about that moment a lot.
