I have collected many, many pieces of Indian art over the years and these tips will now make them look new - you have a new sub!! I don't sub easily. Can I make a request as a long time collector? I believe that the artisans who create these beautiful pieces should create a family, company or single artist's stamp for the bottoms of their pieces?? That would not only allow collectors to know it's an authentic piece from the same person(s), but it would greatly increase the value of the pieces!!! My Dr. is from India from India and I asked him why this was not being done. All he could say is that it is usually a family business and that they don't think about such things. PLEASE encourage this practice!! Artist's everywhere need to get recognition for their work. This would make the work of even the poorest more valuable!! Look at Sterling or even played silver from England and their markings tell a LOT about the piece.

In the Army we used Brasso to polish brass to a mirror finish. Brasso was a translucent liquid with a golden residue which settled and had to be shook up prior to use. Well, that was the old Brasso which came in a metal can. For many years now, the "new" Brasso comes in a gold plastic bottle, and resembles white, pasty liquid carwax (which it probably is). Not nearly as effective as the old stuff.

Hi, so i have plenty of pooja items which have designs on it, especially those diya once which have black soot formed on them . So can we , like putting tamarind juice and salt in hot water and soak them ?🤔 Or will it damage the metal design?
