Meepo V5 Range Test: How far can it REALLY go?!

In this video, I put the newly released Meepo V5 electric skateboard to the test in typical Irish summer conditions. I was sent the Standard Range version to try, which claims distances of 11 miles.

During the range test, I explored various terrains, including some hills, to gauge the board's performance. As I pushed the Meepo V5 to its limits, I documented the distance covered until the battery eventually ran out.

The weather conditions on the day were those of a typical Irish / UK late Spring or Summer's day; 18 - 19 degrees celsius, overcast with low wind. In this video, I'll share my honest experience and provide valuable insights into the Meepo V5's actual range capabilities under these conditions. If you're considering purchasing this board, this video will give you a realistic understanding of its range potential during your summer rides.

The Meepo V5 electric skateboard comes with two battery options: standard range and extended range. The standard range battery is designed to provide up to 11 miles (18 kilometers) of range on a single charge, while the extended range battery can go up to 20 miles (32 kilometers). Keep in mind that the actual range you can achieve will depend on several factors, including your weight, riding style, terrain, and weather conditions.

8:45 after going 28 mph straight into a curb, I can confirm I didn't feel a thing

I’m new to ESK8, have a Meepo and a Maxfind Pro. Both are great in their own right. I love the battery options and swapping on the Maxfind Pro. Yesterday I made my first mistake. I slowed down to get up on the sidewalk and got back on the accelerator too early and too hard at max power mode. Board went and I stayed. Ended up in an ankle brace but didn’t break anything. My ankle looks like a softball but I can’t wait to get back on. These things are amazingly fun.

I recently got the meepo v5. when accelerating then letting go of the throttle it doesnt cruise at same speed like a normal board. the momentum is different then a normal skateboard. Is that normal for electric skateboards? Good vid. btw

Ronan, thanks for the video. I have been looking at getting one of these, but as I'm doing the math in my head, I'm thinking that if this board goes 28 miles per hour, but the battery only lasted 6 miles; doesn't that equate to about 15-20 minutes of actual riding at that speed? What was your average speed during your test? Does my math add up to your experience?

⚡ *My first esk8 fall in 2017 was when I was goin over a gap, I reacted and hit brake too hard* 😱😭
Now I just hop over the same gaps lol, like you say at a good speed.

Yeah sometimes with range estimates from the brands, I just half it 😂😭 I thought they cut down on overestimates a bit.

Great test 👌🏼👌🏼

If you had it on 3 it would go longer. Still hits top speed at 3.

What are the UK rules on riding these? Can't find any definitive answer.
