LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 3.24 Evocati

Star Citizen is an Open Development Alpha Project by Cloud Imperium. It is 2 Games really though, the Persistent Universe that aims to build a First Person MMO Space Sim that encompasses gameplay in ship & on ground, economy and pretty much anything else you can think of. It's built in the StarEngine (a modified Lumberyard Engine). You'll see massive Space Ships that you can fly with friends, land on planets, explore or whatever your way to whatever goal you choose. It's available to try in it's current Alpha State now, you can give feedback & influence the direction of the game BUT it is VERY ALPHA.
Squadron 42 is the Single Player Campaign of Star Citizen & the Spiritual Successor of Wing Commander. The Idea is the game is immersive, cinematic, beautiful & seamless... NO LOADING SCREENS once in game.
Both Games are currently in the Alpha of their development.
I am suspecting to see something more mainstream for Star Citizen's PU by the end of 2024 with permanent progression, though it will be a while after that before the game is considered "feature complete" which would be closer to 2025 in my opinion.
The are no dates for Squadron 42's Release Yet BUT it is now Feature Complete.

Thank you for the positive news. I'm looking forward to checking out the hangar in the context of a broader game. I remember spawning into the hangars when they first came out and thinking; "Oh, it won't be long now!" I was off by many years in my estimation, but I'm glad to see this becoming a game now.

*sigh* will the delays never end. Well as in the words of John Wooden “Good things take time, as they should. We shouldn’t expect good things to happen overnight. Actually, getting something too easily or too soon can cheapen the outcome.”

One thing with the next patch that I hope they fix is the investigation missions. Every single one has hostile reclaimers, cuttys and freelancers so if you're flying over in a small shop to find a lost crewman etc you get blasted to bits if you land. Hopefully this is fixed 🤞

I downloaded and launched Wave 1 PTU at about 0100 EDT today. Yes, there are still some pretty major bugs, such as not being able to launch after calling up my Titan and getting my medium hanger assignment. That said, EVERYTHING worked perfectly, which stunned me. I have been testing PTUs of every update since 3.13.1, and this was absolutely the best one I have ever tested. That said, let’s see how it goes today after EVERYONE eligible for Wave one jumps in to test (or more accurately PLAYS) the PTU today!

I can't help but dream that, after spending so much time in Evocati, its transition through the PTU will be short and smooth, so we can enjoy this patch in the PU as soon as possible.

Considering this originally was supposed to be in 3.23 and alledgedly barely missed that release, it is quite interesting that it has taken all this time without even being released to PTU. But maybe it will actually be "coming soon".

Wipe makes perfect sense. With all the cargo and inventory changes I expect to “wake up” to almost nothing or nothing and wouldn’t be surprised. Be cool if all the gear left in my ships happened to be stored in boxes already so there was a place to sort things later…not holding my breath. Was there going to be an inventory terminal in the hanger? Makes perfect sense if they did that. Still thinking back to when they said “some stuff” that wasn’t ready for the last patch so became a 3.24. Kind of like Microsoft just releasing a new os when it is basically just all the updates and a few new things. STAR RUNNER!
