well, the Finns obviously did not learn from history. In WW2, tehy sided with Nazi-Germany, got defeated and only due to Joszef Stalin was very generous, Finland did not cease to existe. Stalin allowed Finland to exist further, on the base of neutrality, same/similar to Austria.
