Auto warranty telemarketer tries to scam a bot

Hello All! As I write this, we are approaching the end of 2018. Happy Holidays to everyone!

In this call, we have an auto warranty scammer speaking with a bot named Salty Sally. This guy is a "second level" telemarketer. At the beginning, you can hear the first low-level guy hand off the call. What they don't know is the potential victim has also handed off the call to a Jolly Roger Telephone bot!

This guy is slick and well-practiced at his trade. Unfortunately, he is probably also quite successful at scamming people into renewing their auto warranty. Salty Sally does manage to get him a bit flustered and he eventually hangs up in frustration (after eight minutes!) He does NOT suspect that it's a robot though, so well done to Salty Sally!

If you are reading this, you're not likely to fall for this scam, but lots of people do. So please be skeptical of every telephone call and let Jolly Roger Telephone handle your telemarketers.

Thanks for listening, everyone!

P.S. Santa Claus has been taking telemarketer calls this month! I'll post a call soon!

😂The fact that they include a "teenage daughter in the background" with the AI is perfect.

This was hilarious. That guy is a piece of work. "nightmare teenage daughter" and "do you need to go put some water on your face?" "are you telling me that your tv show is more important than your vehicle?" "I'll pray for you, miss." LOL

The leggings bit is gold. There's nothing that the scammer can do to help the situation, and it eats up so much time.

Had a guy call about my "winning" a free 35MM camera once. I have Olympus gear that most press photographers drool over but I kept this guy on for about 30 minutes trying to describe to me what I had won for a 12 dollar shipping "fee". When I "confessed to what I actually owned he was toast.

I guess it is kind of an alternate reality. Jolly Roger was just recommended to me a couple minutes ago...this is gold.

I really hate these car warranty scammers.. I've been getting these calls at least once or twice a week the last 4 years telling me this is my final notice.. They spoof their caller ID with different numbers/different area codes on every call so it's difficult for Jolly Rodger to pick up on one of these ..they always tell me they mailed a notice, but I can't remember ever receiving one.

These guys just CAN'T be this dumb to talk to the bot for 8 minutes! But apparently they can, because he just I signed on about 6 weeks ago and it has been hilarious.

That's the most convincing bot I've ever heard.

Does the AI learn? Does it tune itself on when to say which phrase in an attempt to drag out the call as long as possible?

I thought this used AI. But it is completely ignoring every word the scammer says. The keywords Visa or MC should trigger special responses. etc.

This is a good concept - but as everyone knows - you NEVER want to have "YES" on a recording for a telemarketer ... VERY BAD IDEA ... otherwise I would have signed up. Nearly all their "robots" do the "yes" ... sad - maybe that's why Shark Tank passed on them :( Why didn't they think it through ??
