You completely ignored 1 massive thing, the engine bay, when I was a detailer, my 5 tips is, 1. if it's bad, fork out the cash for a professional, we have the chemicals and acids and disposal to do it right, 2. cover the computer. 3. use a range of brushes to get into the nooks and crannies, 4. when using high pressure be extremely careful and don't get too close, especially around wiring/connectors spark plugs, let the detergent do most the work, 5. Avoid sun like the plague.

Bugger all that my paint is faded the flairs and tub is in primer and the clear coat is roached so I only have to pressure wash, mine ain't pretty but she sure is reliable, owned it about 2 years and haven't touched it with soap or wax, and I don't care about scratches.

A bit advertorial but great content. Products and techniques have come a long way since the 'sponge and two bucket method'. Foams that stay foamy really help soften all sorts of road and off-road muck. Pressure washing is ok but keep the lance away from sensitive bits. As said here, low pressure high volume not the other way round. These wheeled under cleaners are also great, including where roads are salted.
There's loads to really like here and I've not seen the installed chassis hoses. Very trick.
Keeping a vehicle clean when used only on highways is hard. 4WDs needs even more care and it's often more difficult to do. Thanks!!

I'm not convinced unless these instructions are applied to Sooty and that Hilux that did the 24 Hour 4WD the other week.

Gotta say I used the chassis shield about 4 months ago and it’s actually amazing! Even now the mud barely sticks underneath

Here in my Village, we wipe the vehicle down with a chamois cloth to remove all the water spots after washing it

Does it matter if I use bore water? I live on a farm, tank water is for drinking and bore water is for washing machinery and vehicles .looks great cheers.

My 4WD is way to dented and rusted to start caring about all this, maybe when I get a new 4WD but I'm still waiting for my current one to die 🤣🛻⛰🛻
