Linux firewalls use either iptables or nftables, but regardless of the underlying kernel-level implementaiton, they can be managed with wrappers. For Ubuntu systems, the default wrapper, or "front end" is Uncomplicated FireWall (ufw). For RedHat-based systems, the default is FirewallD, which is managed with the firewall-cmd tool. In this video, we look at both methods.

Cockpit is just RHEL's GUI server admin tool so that explains why in Rocky Linux the port for it is open by default
