Im liking this, defense needs to be ready with a hand up during the shot to get a contest. Unlike sometimes on other 2ks where your presence is a yellow contest sometimes

They’re late contest the ball is already out of their hands/ badges and whatnot it makes sense to me! Now if this was Scottie Barnes doing this it would be a problem but Kd/d book make sense considering the defender is out of position. A late close out you deserve to get punished. I see no issue with it once you actually think about. You combine kd height wingspan plus high release point with high attributes/badges against bobby p who more than. Likely doesn’t have any Perimeter d this all makes sense

It’s open because it’s a tall player and the form starts before the defender puts a hand up. By time the defender is trying the shooter is at its peak

the ball already left they hand before the defender hand reach they face so that’s why it’s open

that seems fair. it’s still open, but the defender is at least noticeable to the shooter. just enough to maybe make a difference. and, at least in 2k24, opens are a lot harder to hit than wide-opens.

The issue isn't the hands being down. The offensive player has a massive advantage because defender mobility is slower in the game when your hand is up. Also, unlike real life, button delay exist. If I use the button to raise my hand at the moment you press the shot button, my hand would raise after you get your shot off. I'm used to playing on custom sliders with higher difficulty so I've seen my fill of CPU taking advantage of button delay.

It’s because your not infront of them it should say slightly covered on half of the one tho. It’s better to play with the camera behind you on Defense in 2k25

The contest stops as soon as the player releases the shooting button so even if u end up getting what u think is a good contest the shot is open
