Since you have an iPhone, I would suggest you remove the back plate you have glued to the back of your phone case and invest in MagSafe. That mount appears to be MagSafe and with MagSafe phone case, the phone should stick to it just as good. Plus on days where you don’t need the phone to film, you can put it in the charging spot and charge it. I have the Bulletpoint MagSafe phone holder in my Tacoma and it’s super strong. My iPhone with the Caudabe sheath case doesn’t move when going over big bumps.

In regards of backing out the Tesla out of your garage while charging I can tell you it's almost impossible, your car will not go into reverse or drive while charging, so yes Tesla did think about that obviously.
