The Milwaukee Bucks are heading into the 2025 NBA season as a forgotten team. In top contender discussions they rarely come up while teams like the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and Denver Nuggets are all mentioned. After teaming Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo last offseason, it felt like they were legitimate title threats, yet the season ended in disappointment. They did have a good offseason adding guys like Gary Trent Jr and Taurean Prince, but the question is will it be enough to compete at a high level? And, if not, where do the Bucks go from here and how do they add more talent especially with the impending free agencies of Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and Bobby Portis ahead. Not to mention, if Damian Lillard doesn't bounce back, we may be looking at a disaster scenario for the Bucks, one that could result in them losing Giannis Antetokounmpo. Let's talk about it.

Yes, there are some issues that can be said but there are absolutely some things that are being blown out of proportion.

People saying Khris is too old: he's 33. while that's not the youngest you can be, people act like he's as old as LeBron.

People saying the dame trade was the worst of all time: Do i even have to explain that? First year duos never work and he has so much going on in his personal life, on top of not being able to practice and risk injury last off season.

As a bucks fan I'm not saying that they're 100% going to take it all but if things go their way then they are definitely a team others would have to look out for.

See I don’t by into the idea that Brook Lopez will regress. Brook relies on his size and strength on defense and mostly his shooting on offense at this point. Strength and size don’t typically regress heavily with age unless you’re in your 60s. Shooting shouldn’t regress much either. It’s not like Brook is going to lose athleticism… he doesn’t really have any. As long as his back holds up, which he hasn’t had issues with since his surgery, he should be about as productive as he is now

Don't let the Dame 31ppg vs Pacers fool you. Dude went 6-20 from the field and 4-12 from three in game 3. He went 7-16 from the field and 4-12 from three in game 6 and scored meaningless buckets when the Pacers were waxing the Bucks late in the 4th quarter. Heck, in game 2, he went 3-9 in the 2nd half. The 31ppg was non impactful. Dame only played great in the first halves of games 1 and 2. Dame didn't perform in game 3 and had no impact in game 6. Sometimes, context matters.

On paper this team has so much talent/potential, the biggest problems which have been consistent recently, are health and doc rivers. This is coming from a Giannis/bucks super fan
