Lets not forget that Rik Emmett is singing and playing lead guitar and wrote the song. He is an amazing talent and so underrated. I always loved these guys.

My favorite group. Canadians are know to be "NICE" and say "I'm sorry". Rik Emmett (lead guitar and lead vocals on most songs) has the sweetest, best & highest (largest vocal range) male rock singer I have ever heard. And 2nd to no one guitar playing. Although Very humble and would never say how good he is. In concert one time, during "Rock and Roll Machine', Rik went into a ??? 30 minute solo--playing at least (1) of Every great Rock & Roll song, by Every great guitarist ( Jimi H, Jimmy Page, Santana, etc.... songs by Queen, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rush, Jefferson Airplane/Star ship, Pink F, and Many More. Also classical Flamingo, Jazz, Blues, Fusion, and MORE. Truly a gifted and humble... and Canadian ( sober ? ) musician. [ They toured in L.A on the early '80s. Rik did solo and other groups--all different styles. Thank you Jamel.

The tone and pitch in his voice was unmatched by any 80s singer and by most performers ever!

This song is about rick Emmett's aunt. She had cancer. So he wrote this song. Fight the good fight.

A trivia point: Mike Levine, the bassist, was once a contestant on "Wheel of Fortune." He didn't make the bonus round, but did win $3500. And Pat Sajak and Vanna White apparently never heard of Triumph.

Saw these guys in 81 or 82. Hands down one of the best shows I've seen.

Rik Emmett was the classic guitar solo in the Movie Crossroads. Ralph Macchio was on screen but it was Emmett playing the amazing solo.

🇨🇦😎 lovin it from Toronto was a great Canadian hard rock band formed in 1975 that was popular in the late 1970s and the 1980s, building on its reputation and success as a live band. Between its 16 albums and DVDs, it has received 18 gold and nine platinum awards in Canada and the United States.

I get what you're saying Jamel about getting that 'rush' vibe... RUSH... another amazing Canadian rock band 🇨🇦 🎸 🎶 🎵

I absolutely love Triumph! Last I knew, the lead singer Rik Emmett was teaching guitar at a Toronto College. I haven't Googled him recently so not sure if he's still teaching.

I met him back in the early 90's at a local mall Scarborough Town Centre at the HMV grand opening. He was such a super nice guy. Very mellow, kind, happy, warm smile, very friendly and approachable, so cool to talk to. I still have his autographed poster from that day.

A huge music talent and such a down to earth nice guy.

I agree with Jamel, not worth using up your energy on something that has no good, no meaningful or no purposeful benefit to the world, to yourself, to life. Amen 🙏🏼

Triumph is a rabbit hole you have to go down. One of the most underrated bands around. They also have one of your favorite things...a singing drummer .
