LG Smart TV / LG Content Store missing ITV Player / ITV Hub Live and Catch Up App

So I headed to the LG Content store app and I couldn't find it there either which is a bit strange but the video explains why.

Apparently its available on Samsung smart tvs though but that's no use to me as I have an LG.

It's still not added on the 2020 TV, but I think it is available on an Amazon Firestick, which I have one of, so will be connecting that to test.

The itv app is available now but there is no live channels ?

They are on the newer LG TV's. The ones with Web Os3. Watching it now although it doesnt seem to show live ITV but has all the catchup.

Really annoying.
I bought an LG 55inch Nanocell a year ago and I have bbc, itv hub, 4od and 5od. However I've recently bought another LG 55 Nanocell 2021 version for the bedroom and can only get BBCiplayer.
No ITV HUB, 4 OR 5. Very annoying especially as its a more recent model.

I thought success but app was redirected
automatically & installation appeared on my.

LG only put on catch up for ITV on their webOs 3 TV. They have abandoned all the WebOS2 TVs. My TV was obsolete within 3 months of purchasing. Piss poor LG.

I just bought a smart TV as well recently. A brand new top of the range Panasonic OLED 55'. Have noticed after 3 days that the freeview play and all its' apps are "not currently available".
I have a feeling that this is the same case with many. I'm using the chromecast for now and my phone and its not such a compromise luckily enough.


Does anyone have a solution to the freeview play/apps not working? This was a video from a long time ago? What happened to those in the end who needed a fix?

my LG 4k uhd has all of the apps like 4od and itv play but my hd lg smart tv i have upstairs does not have the app

I found the same but there is a fix. Use the STV app, instead (ITV's Scottish brand) which is available on all LG tvs.

Just bought my eldery mum an LG tv (sept 2020) & its still not available!! Its bloody ridiculous!! She can only get BBC iplayer & youtube!! A £500 tv & it doesnt do what she was told it would do!!

ITV hub didn't come up on mine when I just typed ITV, it did when I added the hub after ITV. It's a crazy issue though.
