I loved this review. I don’t think I’ll be cruising on Wonder. Hubby doesn’t like crowds and we prefer mid size ships. Love to hear the good and the bad.

I just booked on Wonder of the Seas for early 2024 and I am obsessed with researching the ship. I’ve been on this class of Royal Caribbean ship before and they are my absolute favorite across all cruise lines. I love to pick the biggest and the newest with price in mind. While I could have gone on the Oasis of the Seas the same week I just didn’t feel the excitement that wonder of the Seas evoked. This year I’m picking Virgin Voyages for their super yacht ambiance and child free sailings, their adult content and their all-inclusive specialty only restaurants. However I’m not crazy about how their ships are set up. I chose Royal over Carnival (one of my favorites for the friendliness as a solo cruiser) for 2024 mainly because their entertainment is so varied and amazing! Thank you so much for this review. I really enjoy your content! Oh, as for the noise, I always chose a stateroom as close to the end of the ship front or back as I can to keep the noise from traffic in the halls to a minimum at night.

Your review is spot on. I took my family on a Mediterranean cruise Wonder of the Seas in October 2022 and they loved it (boys aged 13, 12 and 9). The food, the service, the entertainment, the ports were all great.

Brilliantly honest review and much appreciated.. Being in our 70's and even though we are still fit and active, we do not want to be with a lot of younger kids when on holiday. More of this type of review please Sheri. ❤

We (sister and I) have not cruised on the Wonder, but did go on the Oasis. Your statements of who would like and not like the Oasis class are spot on. We are older widows who did not like the crowds and “busy busy” feel of the ship. Granted, the Oasis is stunningly beautiful. Our favorite Royal class is the Radiance class. As you pointed out, it is oriented outward, toward the sea, which is why we cruise. It’s great that Royal seems to have something for everyone.

We are on now. Nothing seems crowded to us. The only lines are the stand by lines for the shows. A few people have mentioned the hallway sounds. But we have not heard anything. However we are on deck 14. So that may make the difference. The week you were on had a huge charter group that we learned when speaking to staff made for some exceptional circumstances including 1500 small kids. Which is more than usual for this time of year. We are not sure Oasis class is for us. But we have really enjoyed all aspects so far

We have an oasis class next week and couldn't be more excited. Only hesitation I have is this being my first "big ship" experience, I'm worried about not seeing the water as much. My favorite view ever is just looking off the boat and seeing nothing but water. The notion of "looking in" kind of boat is our only worry. But we're excited and got a balcony just in case

I went on my first cruise on Symphony of the Seas last June and was really frustrated with finding seating at the Windjammer for breakfast on the first sea day. But after that day everything seemed to calm down and while we were a full sailing I we didn't have many problems. I like the full ship feel and action. The one think I hate are the chair hogs but I run into that at every land resort as well. Was a great first trip and can't wait to hop on a Royal ship out of LA since we are close to the port down here in OC. Cheers!

I often wonder if I’d enjoy a mega ship like RCL’s but I can understand the ‘ship is the destination’ concept. (I sail w/my family) but even they would like more low key than all the hustle & bustle. btw, I love when you guys include footage in your vlogs! Keep that style 😉❤️

I was on Wonder at the beginning of January and it was great. I had the same negative experiences as you except for the noise in the room. The hangers aggravated the heck out of me and I did notice the trash cans and the sheets. I suggest getting to the Wind Jammer early to get a seat or you wont' find one. I really enjoyed the PB & J old-fashioned from the Mason Jar and I highly recommend that drink.

Amen about that smoke… noticed it more than any other Oasis class ship, and we’ve been on a few.
We were part of the Solarium group, (there were two sailings on Harmony in January during our kids school break) so sorry about taking that over. But being able to actually eat normally on a cruise was amazing. This was our 3rd Kosher food available cruise.
