somehow turning my computer off and back on actually fixed it, but you might not be as lucky if you got this looking this up.
This only functioned this way because some weird glitch happened while I was doing things, so every file basically acted like it was missing/corrupted except for the two files I had already interacted with. Infact, I couldn't even open any files other than the specific folders I had already opened, and I couldn't make an image/backup of my ssd before turning my laptop off in order for me to prevent further damage, so I was very, VERY lucky.
