I was in a room of 67 and they said 5 of you will get to one year, 2 will get to 5 but only one will stay sober forever.
I celebrate 9 years on the 9th of January 2024.

That's the only way people get sober. You have to want it for yourself. Nobody can make you do it

In rehab my counselor said "I know you're the only one I will never see here again". ... and he never did. Thank you for that sir, whatever your name was and where ever you are. 🥺

My rehab counselor said you will never stay clean going back home… but I truly wanted it this time. I was 24 at the time- and now I’m 45 and have 21 years clean in June.

I spent 18 plus years doing heroin and coke. I have been to rehab several times. I ODed 2 times when fentanyl started getting mixed with heroin. I needed to stop, I read Anthony's book in rehab and I finally got the answer. I've been clean and sober for 6 beautiful and fulfilling years.

My dad got sober and became the manager of a sober house. My older brother and I would go out to lunch with him and he would always tell us when you guys are ready call me and ill be there. We were homless shooting up herion just enough to not get sick. We looked at eachother one day and didnt say a word. We called my dad, and he said ill be there in 10 mins get your stuff ready. He snuck us into the sober house he ran and helped us get clean. That was 15 years ago. We are both still sober today. Thank you dad you saved our lives. R.I.P DAD LOVE YOU

7 years now of no pills, alcohol and needles in arms. Going to be 30 years old in may. Starting everything later in life. Car, license, jobs, stable housing. I keep telling myself at least im doing it and doing it sober. Now i have an amazing man who sees me and who i can be. I don't want to lose him from my crazy but i love him and i want to do better every day because of this man . He has healed me in so many ways. I love this man to death. He is the best part of me everyday!

He understood. That’s how I felt this last time. I aggressively sought sobriety from heroin. I knew I wanted it so bad. So I did. And here we are almost 2 years later.

Putting down opiates was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I love my family and did it for them until l could do it for me. Been clean for 7 years.

December 04 2020. Words cannot describe how freeing and awesome it is to get sober. Took a ton of work but 1000% worth it. Good luck to anyone out there striving for sobriety.

I said the exact same thing. Been 12 years sober from alcohol. Best decision of my life.

That’s exactly my story. My family paid for my rehab and the counselor said during a session “statistically only 1 or 2 of you are going to make it”. And I knew it had to be me. 13 years later and after many many struggles I’m still here, cool as a cucumber, zero drugs, will die clean.

7 years going strong of not attempting self-harm. I started training Powerlifting, Strongman and Weightlifting when I was at the lowest point of my life and it saved me. It brought me purpose again.

I'm so glad rehab was 100% free for me because I'm a veteran. I went to a literal summer vacation resort that costs 3k a week. I stayed for 70 days. Fantastic experience. Been sober for 15 months

Crazy that he chose that haircut and mustache once he was sober.

His autobiography, "Scar Tissue" helped me understand my dad and addicts more, and helped me cope with losing him as a teenager.

putting my head on my pillow at night, sober, is a wonderful thing, that never gets old.
