Really hope he can turn it around and be one of the most exciting players to watch in the future. I do wonder how much the owner here is stopping the Richardson experience on the year, because it seemed like Stiechen did not want to give up or pull him and understood what it would take to develop him and was ready for it

I love this explained from Colt. He definitely knows what he’s talking about

These breakdowns are fantastic!! Colt is really animated on this one but his analysis is always super insightful

Really curious on Colt's, Josh's, and Hayden's takes on QBs that have sat and learned without starting and gone on to be studs, like Mahomes and Love. I think people are overreacting to the benching on both sides: it probably makes sense for the org and to let him catch his breath and slow down, but his career is not nearly as cooked as the fantasy community seems to think. Dude has been getting SO much hate. Josh/Colt/Hayden, is there a world where it does make sense to sit him even from a learning perspective? We have seen it work before. I don't think they are giving up on AR at all

From the perspective of a baseball pitcher - you absolutely can improve accuracy if its mechanics and sequencing. What you can’t do without years and years worth of throws is develop elite command and feel.

Colt played in the NFL for a long time. Great addition to the show!

Colt’s awesome at these, love learning more about what they are reading in the coverages

Needed to be a developmental player not a day 1 starter… everyone just fell in love with his physical abilities and turned a blind eye to his accuracy and decision making.

Appreciate this breakdown, very much needed given the Anthony Richardson discourse

Such a weird scenario on so many levels.
1. It is crazy he tapped out and a bad move, I get he was exhausted and if that is why he is benched at the moment (seems not the case) fair enough.
2. If he is benched for on-field play I think that is crazy you gave a project guy 10 games and what do you gain by benching him? A Wildcard win? If he plays and plays well you have your future, if he plays bad you have a better draft pick...
3. This is the big one imo. For the people that think AR needs to sit to learn that is fine if he is not already the starter but to make him the starter then backtrack kills motivation and makes it super unlikely he is the Colts future. There are ONLY 2 example sin NFL history of a QB losing the job then becoming that franchises QB of the future. Alex Smith 2010 then lost the job in 2012 to Kaep after the injury so does that actually even count... Then Terry Bradshaw, who lost the job because of NFL wide holdouts that his talented backup QB did not holdout on and went to camp. Doing this most likely ends AR's future as a Colt.

Colt will you do Caleb Williams against any half decent defense. I’d like to see your breakdown on that.

Man, too much rewinding. Don’t need to rewind 20 times 1 sec into each play. Makes it hard to watch imo.

Yes he needs time on task. But the NFL isn't a nursery. The Colts have fans that want wins. So the balancing act is giving him some game time when it's possible but he needs to learn by watching Joe in game and at training.

AR WILL BE GOOD IN 2028 season. See ya then 💯

So, basically what you are saying is that Richardson should be playing running back, tight end or receiver.

I watched AR a lot in college and what I've seen from him in the NFL is more of the same. He makes unbelievably athletic plays, but he follows them up with mind-numbingly bad decision making. I have heard scouts talk about how smart he is, but it doesn't show up on the field. He's not reading/processing fast enough. My guess is he won't be able to overcome that limitation, and he'll have a long career as a tantalizing "upgrade" for one team after another.

I got offered Cousins for AR5 in a SF BB 20 man keeper. Should I do it? My other QBs are Hurts, Tua and Burrow
