We are a family dedicated to adventure, conservation of wildlife, and all things nature. Omg i swear otis is the most precious turtle in the entire world 😍 how sweet he lay his head flat on the table to stare at the baby like that. That is one special turtle 🐢 ❤️

I had the same experience when I was involved in a breed-to-release program for Eastern Box Turtles through Hofstra U & Stony Brook Labs about 20 years ago (much like your work with DB Terrapins.) I had a very colorful & very dominant male and introduced him to a new hatchling. He was normally pretty aggressive but with the new baby he did the exact same thing; just STARED at it! I took several photos of this behavior and also took several photos with another baby “riding” on his shell as he examined it’s sibling. They are such fascinating creatures!
