Inside A COVID-19 Screening Centre In Singapore

As #COVID19 cases in Singapore continue to rise, it’s all hands on deck at the screening centre at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

Doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers from Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) screen hundreds of patients a day by checking for symptoms, assessing risk factors and giving them nose swabs.

Filmed by a colleague, the emergency department's infectious diseases lead Dr Charmaine Manauis shows viewers what a shift is like at the frontline of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

I work in a hospital lab where we receive samples 24/7. My work is nothing as compared to the front liners.

Yellow gown + goggles + N95 + hot environment = sauna.

Huge respect to all front liners. Pls stay safe and we will get thru this!
