Bakugo Invites Deku to His Hero Agency AFTER The End of MHA… #MHA #Shorts #Manga, In Horikoshi’s new bonus final chapter for My Hero Academia, we saw just how Bakugo is handling his rivalry with Deku in adulthood, and honestly this part of the chapter is such a breath of fresh air, because now more than ever Bakugo, Kirishima and Deku feel like just regular guys talking in the car, and I say that to say the dialogue here is really great. First off Bakugo gets annoyed that he has to give Deku a ride since they’re all going to a Reunion dinner with the other U.A students to celebrate Shoto reaching a new all time high on the Hero Billboard Charts. Kirishima mocks Bakugo, saying he was the one who suggested it in the first place because he wanted to show off his brand new car, but Bakugo says Kirishima threatened to scratch the car if he didn’t drive. Kirishima laughs, like oh excuse me is the Great Dynamight scared of threats now, as Deku sits in the back next to his Armored Suitcase, sinking into the weird backseat. As the conversation goes on, Deku jokes about how Bakugo got TONS of sidekick applications but he turned all of them away in tears, with some even giving up on being sidekicks at all. Kirishima tries to say it was Bakugo’s bad attitude, but he says that none of the sidekicks had any drive. If a single one of them said that they wanted to surpass Bakugo, he’d have accepted them in a heartbeat, since that’s the kind of sidekick he wants. Bakugo is looking for a rival, and while they’re on the topic, he asks Deku if Deku is going to keep on teaching now that he has that new suit, to which Deku responds yeah of course, saying that teaching is something he most likely would have done even if he DID still have One for All. At this point Kirishima starts laughing really loud saying that Deku denied Bakugo’s offer, as cluelessly Deku sits there not realizing that that’s what the conversation was really about, and doubles down saying yeah that’s not gonna happen. When you really look at things here though it’s obvious how much Bakugo wanted Deku to join his agency, because even this new car is made so that the person in the backseat is basically ALWAYS cushioned and safe from danger, meaning he might have thought that Deku would be his sidekick or that maybe they could run the agency together now. Unfortunately for him that’ll never be a reality sort of like another pairing the fans keep talking about, however at the very least Bakugo tells Deku that he needs to start thinking more highly about himself because if he doesn’t he’s not going to see the value that other people see in him, saying that if EVERYBODY is special to Deku then no one truly is, which pushes Deku to make a HUGE decision at the dinner.

I like that Deku said he was fine teaching regardless if he had OFA or not. Heroes are less needed anyway, so he can do more good in another field (cultivating the next generation and sharing his experiences from Shigaraki in the community also mentioned, which can help reduce villains with more community efforts) while also still being a hero as the best of BOTH.

Honestly Deku becoming a teacher is a really good growth for his character and realistic one too showing how people's dreams and aspirations change as they grow I feel like people wouldn't have had so many issues with the ending initially if the series didn't start by stating this is the story on how he became the greatest hero

People are complaining at Deku being a teacher and him saying that he’s always wanted to be a teacher but it makes total sense for Deku. Another thing is people seem to forget that after All Might lost OFA, he became a teacher, showing how similar he and Deku are. Also I want to point out that it’s unrealistic to think that heroes will go extinct since there’s always going to be villains. As time goes on with the quirk singularity theory being proven true, there will most likely be a spike of villains in a few years. So let’s be real for a second, with quirks getting stronger, people are going to be using them for their own benefit, it’s just human nature. So while there is peace going on at the moment, there will be a moment where some of the younger generation are going to be inspired by Spinners book and try to destroy the society again.
