I loved the Bruce Faulconer DBZ when it was airing on Toonami during the early 2000's. Seeing Goku, Future Trunks, Androids 17 and 18, reminded me of The History of Trunks movie. Sadly, this was as close as we got to seeing Goku fighting Androids 17 and 18, too bad it never happened after he recovered from the Heart Virus. However, Akria Toriyama wanted to bring another villain to the show, so he created Cell also known as Android 21. Goku might have gotten a change fight them, if he had teleported to the island that Piccolo was fighting Android 17 on. Seven years later, Goku meets Android 18 at the World Martial Arts Tournament. In Dragon Ball Super, Goku met and fought Android 17 to test his power. I really wish that Goku had taken Android 18 with when he to go look for her brother. That might have been a hell of a lot more exciting than what we originally got to see in the anime.
