That voice.... Steve Perry, he's not a vocal all-star, he's a vocal hall of fame superboss! So many tunes where he does stuff and cranks it to a degree that anyone who knows vocal talent realizes the guy is beyond amazing!

Imagine growing up in a world where Journey and Queen and Led Zeppelin and others like them are releasing new albums all the time. Now imagine listening to the music being released these days, coming from that world. To say I am not impressed by artists these days is an understatement.

Steve Perry was also known, at the time, as “Mr. One-Take”. Meaning, whenever he cut a vocal in the studio, he stepped up, sang it, and it went to tape. Scary talented singer.

Freddie and Steve stand on their own merits. Steve had such an appealing vocal tone that was just so easy on the ears. Freddie was a performer with an outstanding voice and courage to do anything with it.

You can ABSOLUTELY compare Steve Perry to Freddie Murcury, or anyone else for that matter. Perry has an incredibly unique ability to sing at a super powerful level and still be soothing. It was amazing.

Steve Perry is the talented singer. Oh Sherry is one of his best. Journey had some really good music in the 80s.

I think one reason this music amazes you so much is that music now, and for some years, isn’t from talented artists, songwriters and musicians. It’s a product, created by the music industry and marketed to make money.

The singer, Steve Perry, is considered one of the best Rock vocalists of all time. He is awesome.

My all time favorite band. I love Steve's voice, but I also love that he had the gumption to walk away from everything once he recognized that he was burnt out. It takes guts to do that, but he'll always be one of THE best singers of all time.
